Time for the Christmas markets!!!

Christmas is getting closer very fast and the Christmas markets are starting here in the Netherlands! And tomorrow I am also standing on a Market! On the Zelfgemaakte markt in Utrecht, the Netherlands to be exact. This is a crafty market and this will be my first time on a crafty market. I am getting very nervous as it is getting closer but I also think it will be a very fun day. But right now I can only think about: How will my stand turn out, how will the weather be, am I taking the right products with me and I can go on for hours this way.

But everything I had to do for this market is done. The car is all packed up and I think that I have everything with me I need to take with me.

Yes Christmas is getting closer...And this is the first year that I noticed it the way I do this year...And that is because I have never been busier...Working on my shop and hopefully get noticed on Etsy so the steady sales will come...But also at Custom orders...Like the stars you see here:

But I am also working hard on getting a lot of inventory because I will be at the crafty market "de Zelfgemaakte markt" in Utrecht in the Netherlands on 11 December! And I have to say my fingers are sore, my head is overflowing and in the meantime the real live just goes on...But I have so much fun working that inventory and I truly believe that I will have a great day at that market! A while ago I made my first main treasury. I also included ArtsyFartz. She was so exited that she was included in a treasury that she asked me for my address. Yesterday I got her little gift in the mail. And I was very whit the gift I found inside the envelope! She made a beautiful card for me and also included a beach mix of beads. Very sweet shells, seaglass and sweet water pearl are in the mix. The beads will be made is some jewelry for myself. From here I want to say Thank you again to ArtsyFartz for here kindness!

It's a happy day for me! Not just because the sun has been shining almost all day. But because when I checked my mail today I found out I had made my first sale at my Etsy shop! Rachel from LaFemmeJewels was so very kind to order a wishingstar. I made it right away and post it in my new brown envelope I got in today. Which I am very happy with to! I like the brown bubble envelope more than the white ones and I have finally found a web store that offers them for a perfect price.

And there is more that I am happy about! I have been featured in three treasuries! I have blogged about the first one but there came two more. Here are all three!

Celebrating with Orange!

Tomorrow we celebrate "koninginnedag" in the Netherlands! In English it says Queens day. We are celebrating the birthday of our Queen. This day is filled with joy and a lot of people hire a stand and sell all there old stuff. It's like one big flee market over the whole country! Further there are a lot of party's, old Dutch games and a lot of orange because that's the color of the Netherlands next to he colors of the flag.
I am also selling my old stuff tomorrow together with my mom and my aunt from Germany. It's the first time my aunt is selling old stuff on Queens day. I have done it a lot so we will show here the ways. To come in the spirit off Queensday I searched some Orange stuff on Dawanda! Here are my findings!

Drifting away!

I am busy and I will be busy until next week. With work, with spending time with my aunt who is here for tree weeks from Germany, with the birthday from our Queen that we celebrate with a huge flee-market and a lot of fun and with making Driftwood jewelry!
I worked yesterday the whole day on some beautiful pieces and I want to make more!!!! I love to work with Driftwood and I will go have a new search for some driftwood soon. But it will have to wait until it all calms down a bit. In will list the driftwood I made yesterday in my Dawanda and Etsy shop this coming week but I will be a bit silence here. I wish everyone a great week with a lot of fun and smiles!

Yes on the first page on Dawanda! When I was checking Dawanda this morning, I got a nice surprise when I suddenly saw the pink wishingstar! On this screenshot you have to look a bit but it's there! At first I was in shock and when that went away I was very happy. Dawanda has started a color collection special and at the front page is my pink wishingstar, the picture for the color pink! And I must say that it feels very glorifying. Maybe a bit stupid but every time someone gives me a compliment about one of my products or features a product I am very proud but also a bit shy. I still find it a bit weird at times that there are people that find my work great or wonderful. And on the other hand it's a lot of fun to see the wishingstar at the front page. Right now as I am typing this the picture is not at the front page but I hope it's comming back and will help in getting some of my wishingstars out there!

After making sale after sale in Evyy's Supplies I ran out of a few items. So I went shopping today for some new supplies. And I have to say that's lots of fun. I spend over a hours walking, watching, counting and thinking at the supplies shop. And I found some fun and beautiful supplies. Today I listed some new Asian pendants and some pendants that I ran out off. More supplies like some more pendants but also some beautiful beads will be listed hopefully this week. It's alway a bit hectic around birthdays but now I went from 25 to 26 it's time to get back to the normal live. A fun week it was. I dear friend of my tried to get me very curious for my present. But instead that I went crazy she went crazy because I am very acceptant of waiting until I get it. And I must say a great gift it was!
And it was also much fun to see all those sales I made last week. I had 7 sales in my two shops! A few orders are already sent out, the rest will be sent out soon. And that means I have to get more supplies soon to fill up the shops again. I hope the sales will go one this way, it would make me very happy!
And what make me also very happy is that I stopped smoking a week ago and still going strong. I have been a bit cranky but it's still going very well. And as I have told before I don't have green fingers. Plants always die in my house. But that does not mean that I don't try. In the easterweekend I seeded some seads, and the are comming up as you can see in the picture! I am so proud at myself! And now I am going to do some housework before I go to work!

I little while ago I took part in a give away. It was the first time I took part in a give away and I was very surprised to have won together witch someone else. And yesterday my little present arrived. A sweet rose brooch. It's a beautiful piece! I had some meetings in the evening and wore the brooch to these meetings. And a lot of people noticed my new brooch. So my big compliments to the maker Francesca, owner of the dawanda shop Un MonDo Di Mais! I am not a girl who wears jewellery much but this piece I will wear a lot.

In january I opened Evyy's Studio. From that moment I started to fill up my shop more and more. But not just with handmade items, also with supplies. And while filling the shop more and more, I found that the handmade items got lost between the supplies. And after posting in the dawanda feedback forums I decided to open a second shop only for the supplies. I started yesterday with filling this supplies shop but I need more time to get everything there. A lot of work but I think it is the best the get the handmade items and supplies in there one shop.

Matroyshka's and Delfs blue: Hot or not?

I see them everywhere Matroyshka's. And Delfsblue products. And yes even a combination of the two. I even sell Delfsblue Matroyshka's beads in my shop. It looks like a hype that get's bigger and bigger every day. Today I got a folder of the store where a get my shampoo and soap and stuff like that. And even there you can find Matroyshka's right now. In other stores you can find all kinds of delfsblue products. From napkins to drink glasses. Keychains and boxes. al with matroyshka's or delfsblue designs.

And don't get me wrong, I think the most matroyshka's are very lovely and I am proud that i live in a country where the delfsblue comes from. But I am not very pleased with taking these products and make them a hype. Off course every store will sell the stuff the people wants and sells. But sometimes it is a shame to see these beautiful product taken over by cheap designs, materials and see it back in every kind of product.

So yes matroyshka's are hot and so is Delfsblue!

In love with some Ribbons.

I went into town yesterday to search some presents. I never found the presents but I found some great ribbons! The just have beautiful colors and texture. The flower ribbons are just so sweet. I love these simple designs. And the stripe ribbons has the most beautiful colors. Now I just have to think about what kind of things I will use these ribbons. One of the stripe ribbons will be used for a keyfob for myself. And They will come back in my shop as keyfobs or in other things.

I love to search for driftwood at the bank of the river maas in the Netherlands. It's always a surprise if there is any driftwood and how it looks. And the pieces I find are after a drying-period ready to be used in craftmaking. This time it became a great neklace.
